Amundi has announced the launch of the Amundi EUR Corporate Bond Active UCITS ETF, an actively managed exchange-traded fund focused on investment-grade corporate bonds denominated in euros. The vehicle, which is listed on Xetra, seeks to generate alpha and offers a simple and transparent way for both professional and individual investors across Europe to access European credit.
The new solution relies on Amundi's extensive experience in active fixed income —830,000 million euros in fixed income assets under management, including 360,000 million euros in euro credit— and a team of around 200 investment professionals, according to the firm. It also leverages Amundi's ETF platform, with over 350 products and more than 340,000 million euros in assets under management.
The ETF is based on a long-standing euro corporate bond strategy, managed by an experienced team led by Hervé Boiral, Head of Euro Credit & Investment Solutions. This strategy has been in place since 1999 —the year the euro was introduced— and has a solid track record and a significant volume of assets.
The ETF provides access to the European investment-grade credit market, maintaining the inherent advantages of the ETF format in terms of liquidity, transparency, and ease of access. The portfolio will invest in around 100 issuers, with at least 80% of net assets in corporate bonds issued by issuers from OECD countries and at least 70% in investment-grade corporate bonds denominated in euros.
The product is classified as Article 8 under the SFDR Regulation and is listed on Xetra, making it available to a wide investor audience in Europe.
With this launch, we incorporate Amundi's active experience in euro credit into an ETF format, making a successful and long-standing strategy even more visible and widely accessible. This demonstrates our ambition to broaden access to our strategies by offering clients solutions that combine our investment expertise with the transparency and accessibility of ETFs.
