UBS Asset Management (UBS AM) has launched the UBS Global Equity Income Plus UCITS ETF, the first fund in its ETF range to draw on the firm's active equity capabilities.
The fund is run by the Global Income Equity team led by Jeremy Raccio, Head of Global Income Equity at UBS AM, which oversees around USD 9 billion in actively managed portfolios as of end-July 2026. UBS AM confirmed the launch today, 16 September 2026.
The fund combines a quantitative stock selection framework with discretionary oversight, aiming to deliver consistent income over a market cycle by blending dividends, share buybacks and option premia. The indicative equity income range sits at around 8-12%, though the product carries no capital or income guarantee.
Unlike most defensive, income-focused equity strategies that tend to run at a lower beta than the broader market, the ETF aims to maintain a beta broadly in line with the MSCI World while still pursuing an income-orientated approach.
The new UBS Global Equity Income Plus ETF is an evolution of our fund offering and builds on our experience managing active income strategies over the past 15 years. We believe it occupies a distinct position in the market for investors seeking an income solution that offers access to the full growth potential of global equities, setting it apart from most income products available today.
Jeremy Raccio, Head of Global Income Equity, UBS AM
The ETF is registered for sale in Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, and will be listed on the SIX and XETRA exchanges.

The launch follows a period of active expansion for UBS AM's ETF range: the firm recently cut fees on five Core ETFs and added a new Euro Stoxx 50 product, part of a Core range that now exceeds $50 billion in assets under management.
The Global Equity Income Plus ETF follows the launch of UBS AM's first active fixed income funds last year, the UBS EUR AAA CLO and UBS Treasury Yield Plus UCITS ETFs, extending the firm's active capabilities from fixed income into equities.
Demand for defined outcome products is soaring, so I'm delighted we can now offer clients access to an active equity solution which combines dividends, share buybacks, and an options overlay within a cost-efficient ETF wrapper.
