Nordea AM has announced that its active BetaPlus platform has reached 100 billion euros in assets under management, consolidating itself as one of the largest enhanced index offerings in Europe.
Concurrent with this milestone, the manager has expanded its catalog with three new sustainable equity strategies focused on Euroland, European small caps, and American small caps.
The BetaPlus range from NAM combines the diversification and cost efficiency inherent in indexed investment with the aim of consistently generating additional returns through active management, while maintaining a limited level of active risk. According to the firm, the offering is available in both traditional and sustainable versions, and the latter meets high ESG standards, including alignment with Paris Agreement-adapted benchmark indices (PAB).
The BetaPlus solutions are managed by the Diversified Equities team, integrated into Nordea Asset Management's Multi Assets boutique. This team has over two decades of experience in quantitative and multifactorial investment. In total, the platform offers selectors and asset allocation managers more than 20 strategies, with exposure to different geographies and stock market capitalization segments.
As part of this expansion, Nordea AM has incorporated three new sustainable BetaPlus Enhanced equity strategies:
The manager indicates that these sustainable versions incorporate advanced sustainability features while seeking to beat traditional benchmark indices. NAM's BetaPlus offering is not limited to equities, as it also includes the Nordea 2 - BetaPlus Enhanced US Corporate Bond Fund, which the firm highlights as its first systematic fixed income solution.
Asset allocation managers are increasingly looking for components that generate consistent alpha with cost efficiency. BetaPlus solutions have been developed precisely to meet these needs. We will continue to expand the platform, both in the equity segment and in the fixed income segment, with new strategies that respond to the evolution of investor demand.
