Quaero Capital has announced the launch of QCF (Lux) – Alséa Quality Growth Europe Equity, a new European equities fund focused on quality large- and mid-cap companies, developed in partnership with newly established French boutique Alséa Partners.
The fund is designed to deliver long-term capital growth through active management, targeting European companies with durable business models and consistent earnings growth. The strategy follows a fundamental, bottom-up approach centred on identifying companies with sustainable competitive advantages, resilient earnings per share growth, and low cyclicality.
QCF (Lux) – Alséa Quality Growth Europe Equity is classified under Article 8 of SFDR, incorporating environmental and social characteristics into the investment process. ESG oversight combines Alséa Partners' investment decision-making with Quaero Capital's ESG control and support framework.
Alséa Partners is a newly founded, independent French asset management firm based in Paris, established in 2026 by Laurent Dobler, Nicolas Kieffer and Victor Gutzwiller. The firm's investment approach is centred on a "Quality & Growth" philosophy focused on high-quality European companies with sustainable growth prospects.
The fund's management is led by Laurent Dobler, who brings close to 40 years of experience in European equities and a long-standing reputation in Quality Growth investing – notably through his earlier role in developing the Comgest franchise. He is joined by Nicolas Kieffer, who combines portfolio management and equity analysis experience across international markets.
The launch forms part of an entrepreneurial incubation initiative led by Thierry Callault, Partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Quaero Capital, who has supported the development of numerous asset management ventures throughout his career, including Comgest, Mandarine Gestion, InfraVia and Zencap.
Thierry Callault, Partner at Quaero Capital, commented that the launch reflects the firm's commitment to backing conviction-driven teams with differentiated strategies, noting his long track record of identifying talent and building platforms across the asset management industry.
Laurent Dobler, founder of Alséa Partners, said compounding sits at the heart of the strategy, adding that the team's focus is on identifying quality European companies capable of disciplined reinvestment and supporting them over the long term.
