Ali Zaidi, who previously oversaw client business for the Middle East and North Africa at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, has taken on a new role at DoubleLine Capital as head of international client business.
In his new position, Mr. Zaidi leads DoubleLine’s international client team, focusing on developing relationships and supporting clients outside the United States. His team works with investors to align their return objectives and risk strategies with active investment approaches suited to today’s shifting global environment. He is based in DoubleLine’s Dubai office and reports directly to the firm’s president, Ron Redell.

Ali Zaidi, Head of International Client Business
Mr. Zaidi spent nearly 15 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, from late 2010 until mid-September 2025, most recently as managing director and head of client business for MENA and new markets. Based in Dubai, he led a team of client-coverage professionals across London, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha.
Earlier in his career, he gained experience in structuring and sales of credit and structured products, including Sharia-compliant offerings, as well as in financial control of equities and derivatives and in auditing within financial services. His professional journey has taken him to London, Kuala Lumpur, and Dubai.
Mr. Zaidi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
