Barclays has signed Elizabeth Weir to become head of domestic private banking in the UK, effective from June the 6th. Elizabeth will become responsible for driving commercial domestic strategy for Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management in the UK.
The hire follows a series of changes across the private banking and wealth management division, the most notable change is the promotion of Sarah Wiggins, who will become the CEO of Barclays Private Banking and Wealth Management.
Elizabeth Weir spent over three years at Brown Shipley, starting in 2021 as head of the London and international offices, and was then promoted to head of private banking in 2022.
