Dan Morris, new investment director at Schroders

Schroders has announced the appointment of Dan Morris as Director of Investments, with the aim of accelerating innovation and enhancing the development of large-scale customized solutions in public markets.
Morris, who returns to the firm from Allspring Global Investments, will report to Johanna Kyrklund, Group Chief Investment Officer. Schroders' custom solutions business recorded 6.8 billion euros in net inflows in the third quarter of 2025.
Profile and career of Dan Morris
Dan Morris joins Schroders after serving as Director of Investments for the systematic team at Allspring Global Investments, where he led a global team and oversaw strategies to deliver large-scale highly customized portfolios. Previously, he held leadership positions at Wells Fargo AM and was part of the executive team that spun off Allspring as an independent subsidiary.
Previously, he worked at Schroders, where he managed LDI solutions in London and led solutions for clients in New York. He also ran Allspring's UK office. His official return to Schroders is scheduled for January 5, 2026.
Mandate and strategic focus at Schroders
In his new role, Morris will integrate several of the manager's strengths in active management: strategic modeling, asset allocation, use of derivatives, quantitative techniques, and sustainable investment. With the support of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, he will play a key role in transforming Schroders' operational and technological platform to deliver these capabilities in a scalable way and adapted to the specific needs of each client.
