Daniel Loughney, new fixed income director of Mediolanum International Funds

The European asset management platform of the Mediolanum Banking Group, Mediolanum International Funds (MIFL), has today announced the appointment of Daniel Loughney as fixed income director. Loughney will report to Brian O’Reilly, MIFL's Market Strategy Director, and will work closely with Christophe Jaubert, the entity's Investment Director.

The new fixed income director succeeds Charles Diebel, who has made a significant contribution to the fixed income team and the investment team in general, and who will continue to collaborate as an advisor.

Professional Career

Daniel Loughney has over 30 years of experience in the industry, working for some of the leading international asset managers, thus bringing a deep understanding of market trends and the factors driving valuations across all asset classes. Until now he held the position of senior fixed income portfolio manager at Border to Coast Pension Group and, previously, served as senior vice president at AllianceBernstein AM for over ten years.

Located in Dublin, Loughney will lead a growing team of investment professionals and will be responsible for internally managed fixed income strategies. Likewise, he will bring his experience actively contributing to the definition of the Investment Committee's macro vision, which will be the basis for strategic and tactical investment decisions for all funds, including multi-manager strategies.

In this new role, he will focus his work on continuing to deliver superior quality performance, expanding the team's capabilities and competencies, and contributing to the creation of innovative and customer-oriented investment solutions.
