Global Security Fund strengthens Advisory Board with a Space and Defense Expert Stefan Gustafsson

Finserve Global Security Fund today announced that space and defense expert Stefan Gustafsson has joined the fund’s Advisory Board. With a background spanning the Swedish Armed Forces, the defense industry, and the international space sector, he brings significant strategic expertise to the fund’s continued development within defense, space, and cybersecurity.
Between 2013 and 2024, Stefan Gustafsson served as Chief Strategist at Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), where he led the development and global positioning of the company’s advanced space services. He also has an extensive background in the Swedish Armed Forces, where he held several senior roles including Head of Strategic Analysis and Naval Operations. Throughout his career, Gustafsson has worked closely with both U.S. and European defense structures, as well as with security and industrial policy issues. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval Command College, one of the most prestigious international education programs for senior military officers.
In addition to his operational background, Gustafsson has extensive board experience across both public institutions and national industry organizations within the space, defense, and aerospace sectors. He currently holds several board and advisory positions in technology, defense, and space companies, including ECAPS, Ovzon, Frontgrade Gaisler, and Frost Unmanned.
He is also active in several academies related to defense and technology. Gustafsson serves as Vice Chairman of the Royal Swedish Society of Naval Sciences (KÖMS) and is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences. He is also elected to the Académie de l’air et de l’espace in France, one of Europe’s leading academies in aerospace sciences.
