Global X ETFs Europe restructures leadership with co-Head model

Global X ETFs Europe has introduced a co-head leadership structure following the departure of Rob Oliver, who had led the firm’s European exchange-traded funds (ETF) business for nearly five years. The move comes as the $3.5bn ETF issuer looks to expand its presence in one of the fastest-growing ETF markets globally.
George Taylor appointed Co-Head
George Taylor, previously Chief Operating Officer of Europe, has been appointed Co-Head of Global X ETFs Europe. He will continue to oversee operating, product, and control suite functions while retaining his seat on the Global X Management Company (UK) Limited board.
Taylor joined Global X in 2020 as head of capital markets for ETFs and was promoted to COO in 2024. His prior experience includes roles at HSBC Asset Management, ETF Securities, and GAIN Capital. With more than 18 years in the industry, he has played a central role in building the operational infrastructure to support the firm’s European expansion.
Business development role introduced
Alongside Taylor’s appointment, Global X ETFs Europe has created a new position: Head of Business Development and Co-Head of Global X ETFs Europe. The role will oversee sales, marketing, public relations, and investment strategy. Taylor will serve in this capacity on an interim basis until a permanent appointment is made.
The leadership changes follow the departures of Rob Oliver and, earlier this year, head of investment strategy Morgane Delledonne. Global X said the new structure aims to support growth and scale, after European assets under management grew from $1bn to $3.5bn in the 12 months to July 2025.
