HSBC Appoints Sami Abouzahr as Global Head of Investments and Managed Solutions

HSBC has named Sami Abouzahr as global head of investments and managed solutions within its wealth and premier solutions division. He will also assume leadership of the bank’s Ultra High Net Worth Solutions Group (USG).
Based in Hong Kong, Abouzahr officially took on the new responsibilities on 1 July. He will continue to lead his current Hong Kong-based team until a successor is appointed. His reporting line to Lavanya Chari, head of wealth and premier solutions, remains unchanged.

15-Year Tenure at HSBC
Abouzahr has been with HSBC for over 15 years. He first joined the bank in 2005 before a two-year period at Halbis Capital Management in 2008. He returned to HSBC in 2010 and has since held several senior roles, most recently heading investments and managed solutions in Hong Kong.
In his expanded role, Abouzahr is expected to coordinate global investment strategies and support the delivery of tailored solutions for ultra high net worth clients across key markets.
