Impax Asset Management Appoints Magnus Kristensen as Head of Nordics

Impax Asset Management has announced the appointment of Magnus Kristensen as Head of Nordics. With over two decades of experience in business development, Kristensen will lead Impax’s efforts in expanding its presence and client services across the Nordic region.
Strengthening Business Development in the Nordics
Magnus Kristensen, previously the Head of Nordics at Federated Hermes, brings extensive expertise in managing client relationships and driving business growth among institutional investors. Based in Denmark, Kristensen’s new role at Impax will see him overseeing business development and providing enhanced service to the firm’s Nordic clients. He will report to Paul Voûte, Co-Head of the Client Group at Impax.
Kristensen’s appointment aligns with a significant period of growth for Impax in the Nordic region. In July 2024, the firm completed its acquisition of Absalon Corporate Credit, a Danish fixed-income manager that caters to European institutional investors and Danish high-net-worth individuals. This acquisition underscores Impax’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the Nordics, where it has been active since 1999.
As Impax continues to build its presence in the Nordic region, Kristensen’s role will be pivotal. The new Danish office in Køge, near Copenhagen, will house Kristensen along with the four portfolio managers from Absalon, further solidifying Impax’s regional operations.
Paul Voûte expressed confidence in Kristensen’s ability to drive growth, citing his extensive network and deep understanding of the Nordic market as key assets. This leadership change also allows Viktoria von Kunow, who previously led the Nordic business development efforts, to focus on clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
