Janus Henderson bolsters EMEA & LatAm Distribution team

Janus Henderson is today announcing the appointment of Mike Haslam as Director of Sales Enablement. Mike, who joined the firm on 17 July 2023 and is based in London will report to Simon Hillenbrand, Head of UK Retail, and will be part of the EMEA & LatAm Intermediary Distribution team headed up by Ignacio De La Maza.

In this newly created role, Mike will be working within the EMEA & LatAm Sales team to ensure the sales team can effectively speak with distributor clients about the firm’s offerings, impart practical insights and share knowledge which in turn will help the firm’s clients deliver better outcomes for their clients. 

Mike brings over 25 years of industry experience and joins Janus Henderson from Barclays Wealth where he spent the last thirteen years. There, he was responsible for promoting third-party mutual fund offerings, ETFs, and in-house funds across fixed interest, equity, and commodity funds to bankers across the UK and EMEA.  He played a key role in working with Barclays’ investment teams and the private bankers to articulate the investment processes, investment themes and provide insight into their extensive funds buy list.

Most recently he worked there as a Private Banker and his familiarity with the workings of this distribution channel will be invaluable to Janus Henderson’s EMEA and LatAm Intermediary team. Prior to Barclays, he held Product Specialist roles at Gartmore, Threadneedle Investments, and M&G.
