Jupiter AM has a new investment director

Jupiter AM has announced the official incorporation of Piers Hillier as Chief Investment Officer (CIO). From this position, he will oversee the investment management teams and capabilities of the firm, lead the development of new investment proposals, and support the recruitment of top-tier talent.
Hillier comes from Royal London Asset Management, where he has been CIO since 2015, and brings more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
Functions of the new CIO and career
In his new position at Jupiter, Hillier will assume the supervision of the investment teams, drive the design of new strategies and contribute to attracting and developing talent, with the aim of strengthening the Group's high conviction active management offering.
Before joining Jupiter, Piers Hillier served as CIO of Royal London Asset Management for over a decade. Previously, he was director of international equity at Kames Capital and investment director at LV Asset Management, as well as having held positions of responsibility in European equity at WestLB, Deutsche Asset Management and Schroders.
Strengthening capabilities and latest acquisitions
In the last two years, Jupiter has undertaken a series of changes to strengthen its investment capabilities, focusing on areas with the highest demand from clients and access to a differentiated and high conviction investment experience. The Group has revitalized its capabilities in British and European equity and has established a solid multi-regional equity platform following the acquisition of the investment team and assets of Origin Asset Management in January 2025.
Also, in February 2026 the acquisition of CCLA Investment Management was completed, which expanded the depth of the Group's investment experience and extended its presence to a new non-profit client channel.
