The Partners of Bordier & Cie SCmA have announced the appointment of Nicolas Porchet as Managing Partner with unlimited liability, effective 15 September 2026.
A member of the Executive Committee and Head of Business Development, Porchet – aged 50 and a Swiss national – joined Bordier & Cie in 2019. He brings more than 25 years of banking experience across Switzerland and Asia, with a track record in business development, client acquisition, marketing and portfolio management for Swiss and international clients. Before joining Bordier & Cie, he held roles at J. Safra Sarasin, Lombard Odier & Cie, Pictet & Cie, Credit Suisse and Reuters.
Porchet is fluent in French and English, with a strong command of Mandarin. He holds an EHL Bachelor in International Hospitality Management and is both a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
Commenting on the appointment, Grégoire Bordier, Senior Managing Partner, said the move reflects the bank's long-term vision and its commitment to preserving the values underpinning Bordier & Cie's identity, citing Porchet's sense of responsibility, industry expertise and entrepreneurial mindset as key assets for the firm's future.
Evrard Bordier, Managing Partner, pointed to Porchet's contribution to the bank's growth over the years – including his role in the recent opening of the Lausanne office – describing the appointment as recognition of his track record.
Christian Skaanild, Managing Partner, added that the promotion underscores the bank's focus on rewarding individuals whose talent and commitment support long-term growth, while safeguarding the continuity of its private banker model.
