Permira appoints Anish Patel as Partner and Co-Head of Climate

Permira, the global private equity firm, announced today that it has appointed Anish Patel as Partner and Co-Head of Climate. Based in London, Anish will lead Permira's climate investment team alongside Kush Patel, identifying investment opportunities across the entire value chain of the climate transition.

Significant efforts are needed to address the climate transition, including the challenge of scaling new technologies, increasing the construction of renewable energies together with the modernization of networks and accelerating energy efficiency and circularity. Anish's appointment follows Permira's announcement in March 2024 of having established a team dedicated to climate investments, with a dual global focus on assets (projects and platforms) and enablers (associated products, services and technologies). Last month, Permira also announced the appointment of Paddy Padmanathan, former CEO of ACWA Power, as Senior Adviser for its climate investment team.
Who is Anish Patel?
Anish brings with him over 13 years of experience in investing in the energy and climate transition sectors. He comes to Permira from Kerogen Capital, where he held the role of Partner and was a senior member of the Investment and Portfolio Management Team with global investments. Prior to this, Anish worked in Corporate Finance at J.P. Morgan Cazenove, advising clients in the energy and industrial sectors. Anish graduated with honors in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
