La Française has announced today the appointment of Philippe Verdier as Secretary General of La Française Group. He succeeds Pascale Auclair in the position.
This new role complements his current responsibilities as CFO and member of the executive board of La Française Group.
Philippe Verdier has 35 years of experience in the financial sector. He began his career in 1989 at Compagnie de Suez before joining Banque Indosuez Luxembourg in 1994, where he was CFO. Philippe became head of the Finance and Organization department at Fastnet in 1997, and later director of product development at Crédit Agricole Investor Services in 2002. He then assumed the position of organization director at KBL European Private Bankers in 2004. In 2009, he joined La Française AM Private Bank & La Française AM International as CEO, before being appointed head for Luxembourg of La Française in 2014. Philippe Verdier was appointed CFO and project transformation director of the group in 2016.
Philippe holds a master's degree in Economics and Finance from the Dauphine University of Paris and a postgraduate degree in International Economic Relations from the Institut d'études politiques (Sciences Po).
As part of this appointment, the organization of the general secretariat and the financial department has been structured into six main divisions:
