Pictet Wealth Management has named Nina Hoas as Senior Philanthropic Strategist, expanding its advisory capacity in Geneva to meet growing client demand for structured giving.
Hoas joins Pictet Wealth Management after more than 25 years working in philanthropy, international development and wealth management. She will report to Christoph Courth, Director of Philanthropic Services.
Before joining Pictet, Hoas led the philanthropic advisory unit at LGT Bank, a service she launched and developed. She previously worked at UBS as Executive Director of Philanthropic Advisory, focusing on the Nordic and Middle Eastern markets. Her earlier career included positions with several international organizations, among them the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the UN Refugee Agency and the World Food Programme. She holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Uppsala University and completed the Leadership Development Program at Harvard Business School.
According to Courth, client demand for philanthropy advice has risen by 88% since 2022, a trend Pictet expects to continue. He noted that Hoas’ experience across both the wealth management and non-profit sectors will support clients in structuring their philanthropic strategies.
The number of clients seeking advice and guidance on philanthropy has increased 88% since 2022, in a trend we believe will intensify in coming years. We are delighted to have Nina on board, who brings extensive experience in wealth management and non-profit organisations to support our clients in achieving their impact aspirations
