Lazard Asset Management has announced the appointment of Robert Forsyth as Managing Director and Global Head of ETF. Forsyth, based in New York, will oversee the development and expansion of Lazard's active ETF platform as part of the firm's strategy to broaden its investment offerings.
Lazard Asset Management has long been a provider of research-driven active strategies, and Forsyth's appointment marks a significant step in enhancing its ETF capabilities. CEO Evan Russo emphasized that building an active ETF platform is crucial to Lazard's growth strategy. Forsyth, with his extensive experience from State Street Global Advisors, where he led the ETF strategy for a $1 trillion segment, will play a key role in expanding Lazard's ETF offering. Reporting directly to Jennifer Ryan, Head of North American Distribution, Forsyth will collaborate with Lazard's leadership team to broaden the firm’s reach in the active ETF market.

Lazard recently launched its first ETF, the Lazard Global Listed Infrastructure Active ETF, targeting Australian investors. The firm plans to continue expanding its ETF products with a new sub-advised ETF mandate in the U.S. Forsyth’s experience and expertise will be instrumental in driving this expansion, allowing Lazard to offer more efficient, tax-friendly investment solutions. His appointment is part of Lazard’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its investment platform and distribution capabilities, ensuring a wide range of sophisticated products for global clients.
