Schroders, a leading global active asset manager, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new Head of Business for Europe, reinforcing its commitment to serving European clients.
Patrick Schwyzer, formerly of UBS (Credit Suisse), joins Schroders to oversee the development and implementation of the firm’s European strategy, focusing on addressing the evolving investment needs of clients across the region.
With over 20 years of experience, Patrick will collaborate closely with country heads throughout Europe, aligning Schroders’ global priorities with local market demands, while further expanding the Group’s presence in private banking, distribution, and institutional segments.
Patrick has extensive expertise in private banking and asset management. Most recently, he served as CEO of Credit Suisse (Luxembourg), now UBS, leading a team of over 350 employees across several European jurisdictions and overseeing the strategic development of the wealth management platform.
Based in Zurich, Patrick will join Schroders on April 7, reporting to Matt Oomen, Global Head of Business at Schroders.
Patrick is an accomplished leader with a proven track record in private banking, advisory, and investment solutions. He brings deep experience in driving growth and building high-performing teams across multiple markets. His extensive network and understanding of European clients will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our regional presence.
