Schroders Capital, the division specialized in private markets of Schroders, has announced the appointment of Ingo Heinen as global director of business and product development. In this newly created position, Ingo will drive business development globally and will lead the evolution and management of Schroders Capital's products and solutions, focusing on offering clients leading investment solutions in the market.
Thanks to his extensive career in sales and product development, Ingo will lead the fundraising efforts in Schroders Capital's private markets with clients from all over the world.
This appointment is a significant milestone in the expansion of Schroders Capital's global platform, which currently offers investors access to a wide variety of asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity and private debt and alternative credit investments. In 2023, Schroders Capital raised $11.6 billion in funds through this set of capabilities in the private market.
Ingo brings a wealth of experience to this position, having previously held the role of Director of Marketing and Client Relations, EMEA, at Intermediate Capital Group, a global alternative asset manager based in London. There he led the fundraising team across the EMEA region and was responsible for capital raising in the private and liquid credit sectors, private equity, real estate investment and infrastructure.
Previously, he was linked to BlackRock, where he created and led the fundraising team for the alternative investments business in EMEA. During the previous decade, Ingo worked in derivative structuring, product development and fund sales at RBS, Nomura and Merrill Lynch.
