iM Global Partner and Zadig AM have announced that Régis Bégué will join the firm as a Partner.
Before joining Zadig, since 2005 Régis was Managing Partner of Lazard Frères Gestion and in 2008 assumed full responsibility for the European equity asset management business. During his last 16 years at Lazard, he has been able to build a solid European equity franchise thanks to the team he formed and the performance generated. Before Lazard Frères Gestion, he held positions at Nomura and Oddo Securities.
Régis Bégué holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from the Université Paris Cité and has a master's degree from HEC.
He has artistic talent in writing, music, and theater. Apart from an early foray into cinema when he was a teenager, he has also written numerous novels and even won literary competitions. He plays the piano and has performed on stage several times.
After a sabbatical year in July 2023, I have decided not to return to Zadig to manage the Memnon European Fund. Instead, Régis Bégué joins to manage the Fund and other European equity mandates with Vincent Steenman, as well as to manage the business with Pierre Philippon, with whom I started Zadig Asset Management. I have known Régis for 26 years and I am sure that his track record and his personality complementary to Vincent's will undoubtedly contribute to the future success of the firm. Both Régis and Vincent are convinced that risk-adjusted performance is the omega of long-term performance.
Laurent Saglio, Founding Partner of Zadig AM
I have known the Zadig team for over 20 years, so I am excited to join a fantastic team that excels in financial analysis and stock selection. We have big plans for the future together.
Régis Bégué, Partner of Zadig AM
We are delighted to welcome a new, highly esteemed member to the team. We believe that Régis's solid experience and track record in European equities will strengthen our capabilities and position Zadig Asset Management in an ideal place to build a stronger company and take us to the next level.
Pierre Philippon, Managing Partner at Zadig AM
