Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of Aviva PLC, has announced the appointment of Gita Bal as Head of Fixed Income Research. This newly created role reflects Aviva Investors’ commitment to enhancing its capabilities in global fixed income markets.
Gita Bal, who will be based in London, brings extensive investment research experience to the position and will report directly to Fraser Lundie, Global Head of Fixed Income. Her role will involve leading Aviva Investors’ research efforts across global fixed income markets, further strengthening the firm’s position in this critical asset class.
Bal’s appointment builds on the momentum following the hiring of Fraser Lundie in May 2024, marking another strategic step in bolstering the company’s fixed income expertise.
Gita Bal joins Aviva Investors after 13 years at Fidelity International, where she held various roles, most recently serving as Global Head of Research, Fixed Income. Her previous experience includes analyst positions at PIMCO and CreditSights, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the fixed income space
